Grantmaking Process

Please note that Metta Fund does not accept unsolicited proposals. 

Our staff researches and works with organizations of interest and then presents recommended grant applicants to a grant committee of our board for consideration. Once potential applicants are vetted, those organizations are invited to submit a grant application, which is then reviewed and evaluated by staff and presented to the grant committee. The committee makes its funding recommendations to the foundation’s board; the Board of Directors reviews the requests and has the final decision regarding which organizations the foundation will fund.
