Ms. Hayon has been a media and communications professional in San Francisco with extensive experience in health care. After a career in local Bay Area broadcasting, she served as Director of Public Information at San Francisco’s Department of Public Health during the height of the AIDS crisis, and as Director of National Media Relations for Kaiser Permanente. She is an expert in communication strategies and crisis management.
Active in local community affairs, Ms. Hayon has served on the San Francisco Library Commission, and is a past Chair of the the San Francisco Ethics Commission, and San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women. She is currently the President of Mission Neighborhood Centers, and has served on the boards of the CORO Foundation, the San Francisco Friends of the Library, Bay Area Big Sisters, and Mayor Feinstein’s Gun Control Task Force.
