Joseph Hafey

Mr. Hafey is the President Emeritus of the Public Health Institute, a non-profit organization with over 800 employees committed to public health work in the United States and abroad.  Mr. Hafey was responsible for overall management of the 250 separate projects and Centers.  He had the primary role of developing new programs and raising funding to support the work.  Mr. Hafey was also instrumental in founding the California Healthy Cities Program, the CDC funded Public Health Leadership Institute, and the Public Health Trust.  He has a Master of Public Administration degree from UCLA and has been adjunct faculty at UCLA, UC Berkeley, and Harvard University.
